De Insulis

De Insulis

Songs translation

Liva returns and dives once more at the heart of ancient poetry with Latin texts written by Alain de Lille, also known as De Insulis. After becoming known with its Requiem album, the quartet now presents a reflection on the human condition and on man facing nature, with music imprinted with metallised classic sounds.

Intense musical arrangements that showcase lyricism are layered onto a powerful structure. Liva pushes the limits of the classical and metal music hybridization with original compositions, which combine death metal, soprano and baritone voices, as well as electric viola, real-time electronic sound effects, and the usual trio of bass guitar, drums, and electric guitar. A must-have album by a unique band that’s not to be missed.
