Musical training : Bachelor’s Degree in classical guitar.

Other instruments played : Classical guitar and bass.

Musical projects apart from Liva : Classical duet with Catherine Elvira, composer in different genres such as electro, classical, and rock music. Studio recording and mobile studio recording.

Musical influences : The world of classical (Bach, Villa-Lobos, Brouwer, Barrios, Ligeti, Nono, Beethoven, John Williams, etc.), Metal (Van Halen, Kiss, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Michael Sweet, Oz Fox, Alex Skolnick, Vinnie Moore, Marty Friedman, Paul Gilbert, etc), and electro music (Steve Roach, Robert Rich, Scorn, Fluxon, etc.). I have so many influences it could read like a “grocery list” in each genre.

Favourite bands, musicians or composers : Queensrÿche, Megadeth, Testament, In Flames, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Stryper, Believer, Bach, Mahler, Luigi Nono, Xenakis, Villa-Lobos, Pavarotti, Dawn Upshaw, Loscil, and the list never ends…

The first album I’ve bought : Van Halen (Van Halen)

5 favourite albums : Van Halen (Van Halen), Operation Mindcrime (Queensrÿche), Master of Puppets (Metallica), Reign in Blood (Slayer), Rust in Peace (Megadeth).

Pre-show routine : Some stretches and a nap… Stress makes me sleepy.

A venue where I would love to perform : In California, Europe, and Japan.

Worst nightmare on stage : Our show at Montreal’s Foufounes Électriques. I was sick like a dog and I was experiencing some technical difficulties with a piece of equipment but couldn’t figure out what was causing the problem.

Most memorable concert/ Best memory on stage : Opening for Nightwish and the concert we recorded for Bande-à-part with 13 classical musicians.
